High Achieving Students Choose Miami University

A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students. The lists do not apply to graduate students or undergraduate students who take less than a full course load.

The Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity Conference, held March 30, is a premier annual event at The University of Alabama that provides students with the opportunity to highlight their research or creative activity. In addition to bringing attention to the outstanding work being done by UA's undergraduates, the conference allows students to gain experience presenting, become eligible for cash prizes, and form relationships with faculty mentors and fellow conference presenters. The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi is proud to announce the recipients of a 2016 Love of Learning Award from Session B of the program. The awards help fund post-baccalaureate studies and career development for active Phi Kappa Phi members.

The Tarble Family California Scholarship is available to incoming freshmen or transfer students from California. Recipients will receive up to $25,000 per year in Carthage assistance.

The incoming group of new students includes approximately 737 freshmen and 83 transfer students. They come from 17 U.S. states and seven foreign countries and territories. It is the most diverse class in Carthage history.
